This course is designed to rid participants of ‘Chinglish’ (Chinese version of English), and teaches techniques to move from a good writer to a great writer. This course can be undertaken as a one-day short course or a two-day high-power intensive course.
Aims to
- Compose simple business letters and memoranda demonstrating a basic knowledge of currently acceptable formats and techniques, which reflect the context and expectations of recipients.
- Compose letters of enquiry, complaint and confirmation, both personal and official
- Act on instructions from a superior, as to what subject matter is to be read, what source are likely to be productive, and prepare abstract and summaries of business information a result of an investigation of those and other source
- Compose business plan
- Compose simple business reports, demonstrating a basic knowledge of logical structure and currently acceptable schematic layout with appropriate numbering, headings and sub-headings, using a clear, concise and intended vocabulary, and in a style appropriate to the status of the intended recipients and their needs
- Organise , tabulate and describe raw data; represent data diagrammatically in pie charts, bar chart and histogram
